Belarus - Gomel
In August 2025, the Repin Academy participated in an event held by the Gomel State Art College (Гомельский государственный художественный колледж), located in the city of Gomel, Belarus. This opportunity allowed students to get to know the institution and the city.
The trip included around 12 different nationalities, among them Brazil, China, Macedonia, Armenia, Japan, Mongolia, Sweden, South Korea, and Russia, all students from the St. Petersburg Academy, in addition to students from the Gomel College itself.
We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Zeybek Elena Talimonovna, the Director of the College, and by Mr. Stambrovsky Viktor Vladimirovich, a painting professor.
During the 10 days we stayed at the college dormitory, we had the opportunity to learn about the institution and its teaching methodology for painting and drawing. Additionally, we held a delightful welcome barbecue to celebrate the connection between the two institutions. The college director also introduced us to various tourist attractions with guided tours. At some of these places, we were able to paint beautiful landscapes.
Finally, a competition was held among the students to select the best works, which were exhibited at a cinema in the city of Gomel. At the same event, together with other friends, I conducted a Master Class where we demonstrated how to paint a portrait from a live model.
